ShengQi 1/5th Scale Petrol Radio Controlled Monster Truck

The all new ShengQi petrol RC car is a beast with a massive feature list. This is an extreme model with loads of power thanks to its DZY 23cc engine with Japanese Waibro Carburetor and NGK spark plug that pushes it to speeds of up to 80 km/h! Check out the video below to see what this monster truck is capable of. Look at similar 1/5th scale models with the same or less specs on the market, as you will see they retail for over twice what we are selling these for!

The first thing that you will notice when you open the box is the massive size and the excellent shells. They come fully built with a choice of camouflaged Hummer shell or black Ford F-150 monster truck shell that both look really cool. Everything you need is included and as these are actual petrol powered models you can get the fuel from a petrol station rather than having to visit a model shop to get special fuel like you have to with the nitro models.

Unlike a nitro radio controlled car, the petrol RC car runs on a mix of normal unleaded petrol and 2 stroke oil. Both of these are available from any petrol station which makes them more practical and cheaper to run than a nitro model. Mixing the petrol is very easy. You simply fill up a petrol can with 5 litres of unleaded at the petrol station then pour in 250ml of 2 stroke oil. This oil is usually found inside petrol stations with the other oils.

If you look at other 1:5 scale petrol RC cars on the market you will see even though they are more expensive they usually don't include everything you need and you have to go out and buy your own radio equipment, special 1:5 scale steering servo, electronics battery pack and charger. With this package everything you need is included, even a high capacity rechargeable battery pack with UK charger for the receiver and servos and a tool kit with all the tools needed to maintain the buggy. Both the servo and radio equipment are OEM Futaba which means they are made in the Futaba factory to ensure they are good quality and reliable.

If you are looking for a quality petrol RC car you will not find a better package for anywhere near this price. Hard aluminium chassis, centrifugal clutch, helical toothed differential, central gearbox, big fuel tank, over length oil filled shocks, the ShengQi monster truck ticks all the boxes! Includes 6 Months Warrenty from date of purchase.

Install an Eco Button and Reduce Your Carbon Footprint Today

The environmental impact of PCs left running idle in the UK Computers and monitors can account for half of the electricity used in a typical office. A single monitor left switched on overnight can use the same energy as a laser printer producing 800 A4 printed copies, - and don’t be fooled by a screensaver – the computer is still working at full power to run this!

There are some 10m office PCs in Britain and approximately 20m home PCs, of this 1.8m are regularly left on overnight or all weekend, according to a recent study on energy wastage. Based on this study, around 1.5 billion kWh of energy is wasted by computers and monitors being left on – that’s approximately £115million wasted in the UK every year! Convert this into carbon and we waste around 700,000 tonnes of carbon due to workers not switching off computers and monitors in the UK.

With an estimated growth of computer usage of around 40% by 2020, isn’t it about time we all took some action to deal with this growing problem? Whether you save a lot or a little, you can be assured that by using ecobutton™ you will be making a difference.

How does the ecobutton™ work? The ecobutton™ acts as a strong visual reminder and prompt for you to save electricity each time your computer is going to be left idle. The ecobutton™ is illuminated and sits on your table/desk top next to your keyboard. It connects to your computer via a USB cable. Each time you take a short or long break, a phone call, go for a meeting etc. you simply press the ecobutton™ and your computer is put into energy saving 'ecomode' which ensures that both your computer and monitor draw only the same nominal power as when they are shut down!

Under normal circumstances people generally do not like turning off their computers due to the time it often takes to restart. However, with ecobutton™ by simply pressing any key on your keyboard your computer instantly returns to where you left off. There's also an additional bonus, each time your computer is put into 'ecomode' the clever ecobutton™ software records how many carbon units and how much power and money you have saved by using the ecobutton™. Over time this can add up to quite a lot (especially if you have many computers running in an office) and you can use this data to help reduce your carbon footprint as well as your energy bills.

A small to medium sized business running 50 computers could save around 6.80 Tonnes of CO2 and over £2000 per year of electricity by using the ecobutton™ for just 2 hours per day. 2 hours might seem a lot but the time your computer is left idle soon adds up. For a start your lunch break is going to be about 1 hour, now include a few phone calls, say 30 minutes per day, a couple of trips to the loo, another 15 minutes, and that meeting you've been hoping to avoid and soon enough your computer has been left running alone for at least 2hrs. A domestic user running a single computer can make an equally valuable contribution to the environment by saving 135kg of CO2 per year and approximately £50.00 in electricity per year by using the ecobutton™ regularly.
